Taxes in our Lifetime National Taiwan University

Course Overview

This course is designed to be interactive in nature, where each tax topic spans 2 classes; the first class will introduce the topics and concepts, and the second class will allow the students to apply what was taught in the previous class, where they will present in small groups on a country of their choice, and apply the concepts and theories taught in the previous class into the presentation.

Learning Achievement

The objective of this course is to develop a framework for understanding how taxes affect our day-to-day lives. Traditional finance and strategy courses do not consider the role of taxes in our lifetime. Similarly, traditional tax courses often ignore the richness of the decision context in which tax factors operate. The ultimate goal of the course is to provide students an in-depth framework to the taxes they encounter in their lifetime and how they can be tax efficient at every stage of their lives.
