The aim of the course: is to form students' knowledge of the basics of current issues in the technologies of helping, and also the concepts of self-helping, obtaining basic knowledge in practice procedures designed to equip them with the skills needed for effective social work practice, helping and self-helping and review major theories in the field of social work, as well as to form critical thinking and analysis of issues of protecting the rights of clients of social work.
The student will be able to determine and categorize the challenges facing vulnerable populations in the areas of biological, psychological and social issues and technologies of assistance and self-help groups
For the successful assimilation of the course material students should be familiar with such disciplines as “Social theories and social development in contemporary world”
