Transfer of Industrial Technique on Life Science University of Tsukuba
Course Overview
This session introduces methods, measures, and treaties for transferring biotechnology to industries that make effective use of animal, plant, and genetic resources in a wide range of life industry sectors. By discussing problems in industrialization from various perspectives, including technical and administrative aspects, using actual examples, students will gain a deeper understanding of social response to securing, distribution and utilization of biological resources, accountability from scientific knowledge, technical support and transfer to developing countries, and acquire management skills that will enable them to take a leading role in the development of professional engineers and policy makers in each country. Invited engineers from bioindustry research institutes and companies are invited to give lectures as required.

Students' attitudes toward the course, participation in the discussions (20%), and their reports (80%) will be comprehensively evaluated.
Course schedule
Each credit hour will be 45 hours and will be conducted as an intensive course.
