Course Overview
This lecture aims to provide a fundamental understandings of water resources by giving introductory hydraulics and hydrology, natures of river flow, water use in various sectors with a special focus on irrigation, water resources development and management, hydrologic statistics, as well as institutional system for water.
Learning Achievement
Students can understand common and specific features of water resources and their use in various regions, the necessity and methods for farmer participation in irrigation management as well as calculation methods for water resources evaluation.
Competence
This coursework links up with the academic goal : a broad outlook and skills to handle water resources problems
Course prerequisites
Students are requested to have elementary knowledge on analysis.
