Course Overview
Explore contemporary approaches to photography with analogue and digital photomedia. Develop knowledge of photographic processes and produce a photobook on a theme or topic of interest.

Students explore investigative photographic practice through analogue and digital photomedia. Students find a story, collect visual material, develop and share a unique photobook.

Grading Philosophy
First photobook dummy (40%) and a final photobook (60%). Evaluation is based on visual communication skill, concept and creativity applied.
Course schedule
(1) This class will be conducted face-to-face and online (70/30%) (2) Types of online lessons: On-demand videos, MS Teams is used. (3) Distributing lecture materials: Distributed on MS Teams (4) Content: Weekly photoshoots (on-location), Darkroom training, On-demand videos and discussion in Teams. (5) Attendance: weekly participation via Teams.GuidanceStrategies 1Strategies 2Strategies 3Strategies 4Reviewing work in progress / practical workReviewing work in progress / practical workReviewing work in progress / practical workReviewing work in progress / practical workReviewing work in progress / practical workStudents can use digital cameras or film cameras for photoshoots. There will be darkroom training for 4 students every week. Darkroom training includes developing and printing images from black and white 35mm film.
